Workplace Proposal — Law Partners Sydney

Activating Pitt Street Sydney

A premium in-house barista program designed to anchor culture, connection and community at Law Partners' new Sydney CBD headquarters — spanning Levels 23, 24 and 25 with a flagship cafe on the 25th floor.

The Opportunity

Because Great Workplaces Start with Great Connection

Law Partners is at an inflection point. Moving from a single floor at 2 Park Street to three floors on Pitt Street, with senior solicitors stepping out of private offices and into open-plan, the cafe on Level 25 isn't just an amenity. It is the gravitational centre of the new culture — the place teams break, mediate, congregate and connect.

Coffee on Cue exists to make that easy. We bring the equipment, the coffee, the people and the platform. You give us an empty cafe, and we run the rest — staffing, sick cover, training, technology, sustainability and reporting. Chantel and her team get a turnkey program with one accountable partner; Andrew gets the standards, transparency and rigour his vendor selection demands.

Sydney's CBD coffee culture is unforgiving. Lawyers know good coffee. Clients in mediation expect hospitality. We deliver specialty-grade coffee, hospitality-led baristas and a dashboard that proves the impact in employee value, attendance and ESG — not anecdotes.

Needs Analysis

What we heard

Current State
Our Solution
01
Senior solicitors are losing private offices and stepping into open-plan. The new floors need a place that compensates — somewhere people choose to be.
A flagship cafe on Level 25 that becomes the heartbeat of the new headquarters. Built around connection, not just caffeine.
02
Chantel's team is at capacity managing the office. They cannot also be on the hook for sick cover, scheduling baristas or running coffee operations.
A fully managed turnkey service. We staff, train, schedule and cover sick days. You never make a phone call to find a replacement.
03
Mediation rooms drive constant client coffee orders. Legal staff currently run up and down floors to fetch them.
Reception-side iPad ordering flows directly to the cafe. Baristas prepare to brief; orders are collected without interrupting solicitors mid-matter.
04
The decision is cost-driven. Open question on whether equipment is purchased or rented, and how the model holds up against alternatives.
A fully subsidised model. La Marzocco, grinder, Puqpress and POS supplied, financed and maintained by us — zero CapEx for Law Partners.
05
Andrew expects rigour and transparency. He will personally vet the vendor and wants the numbers to stand up to scrutiny.
A live workplace dashboard with consumption, employee value, attendance uplift, sustainability and ESG metrics. Not anecdotes — data.

A Monday problem turned into a culture catalyst

Monday attendance was hovering around 80 people in an office built for 300+. Leadership knew the answer wasn't policy, it was experience. The launch of Coffee on Cue in November 2024 became one of the most talked-about initiatives in recent company history.
