Why Coffee on Cue for WorkTech

A coffee experience worthy of the conversations happening around it.

WorkTech Australia gathers the country's most forward-leaning workplace, people, property and technology leaders. The coffee bar is where those conversations start. It needs to work at volume and it needs to feel premium.

We have built this proposal around the MCEC Exhibition Hall floor plan, a 600 peak PAX day one, and a quieter day two. Our twin La Marzocco GS3 cart serves up to 160 cups an hour across two baristas. You will not see a queue longer than three minutes even through the morning peak.

Most importantly, we know WorkTech. We have supported your sponsors at events like this for ten years. We know the loading dock, the power drops, the pack-down windows, and the pace your producers work at. Low-friction, high-trust, ready to go.

Our regular coffee cart is built around two La Marzocco GS3 group heads and a Mazzer Kony grinder. Fully self-sufficient, wheels through any standard doorway or lift, fits inside a 1.8 x 1.5 metre footprint.

For events over 500 expected PAX/hour we recommend upgrading to the La Marzocco Linea Classic cart (1 x 20A + 1 x 10A, or 32A 3-phase). Contact the team if required.

Your Questions, Answered

The short version.

What's included in the service?
Mobile cart, professional barista, specialty coffee beans, full milk range including alternatives, cups, lids, La Marzocco equipment, grinder, on-site logistics, delivery, pick-up, and insurances. No hidden fees.
How many coffees can your baristas make?
One barista serves up to 80 coffees per hour. With a second barista, output doubles to 160 per hour. Sustained through a 4-hour peak window.
How long does setup and pack-down take?
Up and running within 60 minutes of arrival. Pack-down in 45 minutes. Pricing is all-inclusive, no hidden labour line items.
Do you need access to water?
Fully self-sufficient with our own water supply. On-site access is beneficial for tank top-ups and dishwashing but not required.
Insurance and certifications?
$20 million public liability, Food Safety Supervisor certification, safe food handling, and workers compensation. Certificates available on request.
What are your branding options?
Custom branded cart panels (front-only or full 180-degree wrap) plus branded 8oz cups, themed timber or subway tile wraps. 4-week artwork turnaround for production.
Can you accommodate dietary requirements?
Yes. Full cream, light, soy, almond, oat milk. Decaf available on request. Gluten-free catering add-ons. All alternative milks included in package pricing.
What happens if the event runs over?
Decided on-day. Typically we extend service and invoice for additional hours post-event at $100 ex GST/hour. Overage cups at $5/cup hot, $7/cup iced.
Where do you service?
Melbourne and Sydney CBDs, inner suburbs, and regional (Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, Hunter Valley, Newcastle, Wollongong, Blue Mountains). Additional logistics fee applies >20km from HQ.
How far ahead should I book?
At least 4-6 weeks for peak availability. For branded cups: artwork must land 28 days out to avoid a 25% late-artwork surcharge. Last-minute bookings considered case by case.

Payment Terms

Payment in full within 48 hours of contract sign-off. Credit card, EFT or bank transfer. Procurement? We have net-30 terms available on request.

Cancellation Policy

Within 30 days of the event: 50% of invoice sum. Within 7 days: 100%. Reschedules treated case-by-case when notice exceeds 30 days.

Cart, La Marzocco equipment, barista(s), setup, pack-down, Elevate Blend coffee, tea, chocolate, full milk range, hospitality blacks dress code, event management, insurance and compliance.

What You Provide

10A power outlet (standard domestic socket), access to wash-up facilities, clear rolling access to setup location, venue parking or parking fee covered.

Overage

If you exceed the cups included in your selected tier, additional cups bill at $5/cup hot, $7/cup iced, post-event. We bring 20% extra stock on the day so you never run out.
